???
Lord,
I pray that you would show me who the primary influences in my life are. I pray that you would make yourself my primary influence so that i can inhale you, and exhale you into other people’s lives. I pray that you would make me influential. I want your cause Lord. I believe, that at your center is love. I pray that I would just grow closer to you so that i would love people more. So i can influence them. I want to come thirsty to your thrown consistently. I want to drink deeper. I want to want you more. Show me your blessings in my life. Show me your glorious beauty. Satisfy me Lord.
Okay..so how many of you want to go to heaven? alright…most of you
how many of you want to die? oh…yeah
Ya see…I’m not sure that we really DESIRE heaven. It’s almost like “yea…after i’ve lived my life on earth and i’ve done all this stuff and this stuff. If i die and i have the choice b/t the 2..yea..i’ll choose heaven.”
Do we want to go to heaven because of Christ? Or because Hell is terrible? obviously there’s a little bit of both…obviously…hell would suck. But shouldn’t the fact that we love Christ outweigh the fact that we don’t want to go to hell? hmmm….

dude,
You are right…so often we try to convince people that they should become Christians because this way, they will avoid hell. but is this really the way we should go about this?
I was reading John this morning, where Jesus talks to the Samaritan woman at the well. This is a template of how Jesus approaches evangelism. Did he once mention that she was condemned or that she was going to go to hell if she didn\’t believe in him? No…
You see, what he did was to indicate to the woman that she was missing out on true life. It was by engaging her at this level that he \’hooked\’ the woman, if you like. Obviously the Holy Spirit was working in this woman\’s heart and she responded to Jesus.
It is becoming more obvious to me that love and acceptance are the way to reach people, and by treating people like this, they wonder what it is that we have…
What do you think?

Yea…i even think that could almost be a form of worship/prayer
doesn\’t he say \”if you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you \’give me a drink,\’ you would ask Him and He would give you living water.\”
If we knew Him…we would ask…it\’s that simple…ya know
I think love is the way to reach lost people. I think if you serve people…they will get saved…I just think it\’s that simple. We make it complicated and think that if we wear our cheezy christian t-shirts with John 3:16 on it, that people will look at it and start asking us questions…which may be true…but i doubt it.
